Children are meant to grow and develop their skills at a very young age. Even though the process of learning can be natural and will happen in due time, it will still be more beneficial for children if they would have people to help them while studying and engaging themselves in early literacy. They are limited when it comes to motor skills, speech development, and in distinguishing things their eyes see. Because of this, getting all the help they can get is much appreciated.
One of the first things that you can notice in their growth is copying what their eyes comprehend. You can see them look at you and identify you with expressions of love and acceptance, even without the use of words. Early literacy first begins in reading. With the use of hands, they can learn counting one to ten while their fingers are moving. Teaching songs and talking to them also helps a lot as their language skills are developed through consistent communication without mixing in a couple of baby talk.
Buying visual aids, such as seen on the walls, make kids become conscious of objects that are seen in their homes. Even with short words such as “mama” and “papa” is more than a sign that their brain is functioning normally, where they can select words that would best describe something they perceive. Early literacy can be easier if this can be done inside the home, as kids are fonder of the presence of their parents and other familiar faces in their familiar surroundings.
